Free Property Profiles Again!

The California Insurance Commissioner has listened to reason and said that he didn’t really mean to prohibit title companies from providing information.

Here’s the word from Fred Eckert of Chicago Title:

“We are pleased to inform you that the California Department of Insurance has revised their recent decision to restrict title companies from distributing certain types of property information commonly found in property profiles or other informational packets. As a result of the CDI’s most recent action, we are now able again to provide copies of legal documents, property sales comparables, tax assessor’s information, property history reports and any other items previously restricted under the CDI’s ruling from June 12th. We apologize for any business interruptions you may have experienced during the past week and we invite you to contact your local Chicago Title Customer Service Department or your sales representative for any property
information needs we can assist you with. Of course, we’re also available online to serve you at www.ChicagoTitle.com. We are proud of our commitment to serve the real estate community and look forward to serving your needs.”

Hallelujah!
